“Don’t chase the money, chase the dream. All the people who went through the struggle back then be the ones who get it made later in life” - Blac Youngsta (Breakfast Club)

Samuel "Sammie" Benson, also known as Blac Youngsta, 26, a Memphis, Tennessee native. Youngsta grew up in poverty in a rough area in South Memphis, he started working at seven years old for food and soon took the roll to provide for his three brothers and mother, after his first job closed down, working a 9-5 was over. He then flipped the script and went into the drug game. Youngsta’s life consisted of narcotics, hood beef, and jail sentences along with rapping. “I never took rap serious, I started to take it serious after I lost my little brother” After Youngsta lost his brother his two children got him out of a major depression, his daughter told him “Ever since Uncle been gone you act like you don’t want to be here”, Youngsta “that shit woke me up.” That wake up call gave him his drive and made Youngsta focus back on his music and providing for his family.
Youngsta is “fun, ratchet, and nice” Buck Tv, he is known as a popular artist and entertainer and for his comical outburst and his outrageous Instagram. You may have heard stories on him in The Shade Room, trending articles on him “stealing” a twix from an Atlanta Wal-Mart, being apprehended at Wells Fargo, and flashing his money everywhere. Youngsta is often times misrepresented on social media as a show off and cocky but in reality he’s just loving the new lifestyle from rags to riches. Blac sees himself a mogul and celebrity, having over 38.9K Twitter followers and 918K followers on Instagram and his views on YouTube videos are consistently going up.
One of his first raps was over Destiny Childs “Bills,Bills,Bills.” I will never forget the song it was my first song (Baller Alert Radio). Youngsta served a short jail sentence upon his release he dropped his first series of mixtapes “Fast Brick” in 2012 , in the same year he released “Fast Brick 2”. When he dropped “Fast Brick 3” in 2014 it brought him to light in the Memphis rap scene with over 292,000 views. His hit “Heavy” from “Fast Bricks 3” caught the attention of Yo Gotti. Gotti met with Youngsta and instantly wanted him to join his tour for two months opening up. After the tour Gotti signed him to CMG and Epic Records, in 2015 while sitting on a Jet, “Man, that was the happiest day in my life,” says Blac. Later that year under the label Blac released “I Swear To God” mixtape which featured the song “One Bedroom House” where he talks about the different struggles he went through as he was growing up, being in poverty, and providing for his brothers and mom. You can expect heat from Youngsta in the future on his new album “Fuck Everybody”.
