"Hip Hop came from groups, a lot of artist! How can people get lost on a solo artist, even when you solo you got a team behind you so it should be some recognition” Quavo -105.1 Interview

“We’re trying to show people that the young generation can do it” -Fader Magazine, Quavious Marshall, 26, born April 2, 1991, from Lawrenceville, Georgia. Quavious started the rap group Polo Club but later changed the name to Migos, cause Polo is fashion and fashion always go out of style. Quavo was joined by fellow rappers Takeoff and Offset, all three members are directly related. Quavo is Takeoff’s uncle and Offset’s cousin, and were all raised by Quavo’s mother. In High School Quavo had a promising future in Football, he later dropped out his senior year and followed his music career. When the Migos first came out, they took it one step at a time, with the buzz from their hood and Atlanta, then the state of Georgia and the states around them, they got a lot of love in their city from djs and from the strip clubs. "We need the world to respect us, they consume a lot of hits and act like it wasn’t, I ain’t never seen somebody make this many hits and not get notified for it." -105.1. Their grind is real and many can’t compare to the Migos, they started out in 2010 sharpening their skills in the bando, and then breaking out into the industry in 2013 with their single “Versace” from the Y.R.N (Yung Rich Nation) mixtape, released on June 13th. The song was remixed by Drake and peeked number 99 on Billboard Hot 100 Chart. Ever since then it’s been hit after hit back to back with songs such as “Flight Night” off of the mixtape No Label 2 (2014), “Look at My Dab” from the mixtape Back to the Bando (2015), “One Time” (2015)  and at the top of the charts “Bad and Boujee” (2016).  But that’s just the group Quavo’s been featured on hit solo projects 2016’s line up: Lil Boosie’s “Fuck Cancer”, Lil Yachty’s “Minnesota”,  Travis Scott’s “Pick Up the Phone”, and 2 Chainz “Good Drink”. In 2017, he featured on Post Malone’s “Congratulations, ”DJ Khaled’s “I’m the One”, Kanye West “Champions”, Meek Mill “Ball Player” the list goes on and will continue to grow. In an interview on BigBoyTv,  the group squashes all rumors on anyone going solo and simple reply we working. Big Boy describes Quavo as an inspiration, hard worker, innovator, and overall unfuckwithable! The Migos are all signed under Quality Control Music and open to other partnership deals. Their sound is kind of dark grime but hype and energetic, they wouldn’t call it punk more like trap punk. In bigger news, Donald Glover thanked the Migos at the Golden Globes “I really wanna thank the Migos, not for being in the show, but for making Bad and Boujee, this is heightening their career. Woo!
