Nowdays most hip hop fans and club goers say that partying isn't as fun as it used to be because the music isn't as good as back in the day. Have no fear hip hop fans Toca Tuesdays are here. For the last 8 years the legendary DJ Tony Touch has been throwing weekly vintage hip hop parties every Tuesday at the famous Manhattan club Cielos In the meat packing district. Every week Tony Toch and a famous surprise guest Dj gets busy on the 1's and 2's keeping that classic hip hop flavor alive. His guest includes Dj giants like Just blaze, Rockwilda, Dj Clark Kent, Stretch Armstrong, Dj Scratch and many more.
Feds: what's up Tony, so what made you start Toca tuesdays?
Tony touch:
You know just tryna keep that authentic new York sound going. We been doing this party for 8years next month is the anniversary of Toca Tuesday.
Feds:
Who you got Coming through to celebrate your anniversary month with you?
Tony touch:
We got grand master flash, dj riz, the beatnuts and a whole bunch of other surprises.
Feds: how do you feel about the current state of hip hop:
tony touch: I'm having a good time it's still a lot of good quality music out there you just gotta look for it a little more.
Feds: what new artist have worked with recently or would work with in the future?
Tony toch: ah man there's a few... West side guns, conway, that whole crew from Buffalo... man there's a lot of good New guys coming out.
Feds:for those that don't know, how long have you been in the music game?
Tony Touch l: I've been around for a second , I've been playing for around 30 years...
Feds:Wow that's a long time... what would you say was your favorite era in hip hop?
Tony touch: my favorite Era had to be the late 80s 86 to like 89, then it picked up again in the early 90s
Feds: Okay, your rap game was mean back in the days, you still rhyming?
Tony Touch: of course it's in my blood.
Feds: you got alot of fans still checking for you, where can they find you you? Tony Touch: I aint going no where, they can find me on satellite radio show on Shady 45, and come out to Cielos every Toca Tuesday.
