Kid Ink has been contributing to hip hop for quite some time now. The hip hop world was introduced to Kid Ink as an underground artist with an amazing following before hitting mainstream acknowledgment. Kid Ink a West Coast artist is known for his production and writing skills. Kid Ink began his career at the age of 16, grinding as a producer he has worked with some heavy hitters in the industry.  His production collaborations include, Sean “PDiddy” Combs, Sean Kingston, Nipsey Hustle just to name a few. The experience in the studio producing set Kid Ink’s versatility and visualization to become the artist he is today.

Kid Ink did something in 2012 that would change his career from producer to artist by dropping his independent album, “Up and Away” that transitioned the well- known underground artist to mainstream instantaneously with his hit song, “Time of Your Life”. The album hit Top 5 Hip Hop on Itunes prior to release and without any additional promotion the world was talking and the labels were listening. With sales blasting to 500K for this single and landing a spot on the Top 20 Billboard list, Ink undoubtedly broke records. In 2013, everything this rapper worked hard for payed off when he inked a deal with “Tha Alumni Group/88 Classic/RCA Records.

Kid Ink dropped hits with artist August Alsina, Chris Brown, Tyga and Pusha T to name a few. Proving he is definitely in his own lane. The “Show Me” track with Chris Brown was a club banger and had everyone from RnB to Hip Hop heads doing the two step in clubs all around the world. On July 1, Kid Ink proposed to his long term sweetheart and she posted a picture of the eccentric rock on Instagram.

In the past, many people speculated that Chris Brown made Kid Inks career. Kid Ink stated at the end of the day he didn’t care much about publishing and all the extra things in the beginning of his career. Kid Ink stated he just wants his records to sound hot. The rapper spoke on how much work he puts in when creating these records from writing and production. Finally he realized how important those credits are and is making sure he gets his just due in the game. Kid Ink made sure the hip hop world knew yes, "Breezy sung the hook but make no mistakes I wrote it". Kid Ink dropped another banger with counterparts Ty Dolla $ign, Tyga and IAMSU called 100 which is another club banger. Ink isn’t planning on bowing out anytime soon he continues to put hits out, keep his fan based engaged and remains humble throughout his success.
